However, by the time most people are contemplating formal action matters have often progressed beyond where they can be resolved by a simple discussion between the parties. If a financial settlement is required then we will work to obtain the best result possible.
Pre-claim conciliation is a service currently offered to parties through ACAS but there are proposals in place to expand this service and make it a more formal part of dispute resolution from April 2014.
